Braxten Eats

Last night we tried rice cearel for the first time with Braxten. He did pretty good considering it was his first attempt. We will try the fruits and veggies soon.

It's begining to look a lot like Christmas

This is what happens when you are on the phone and letting the girls put on the ornaments...All of the ornaments end up at eye level of them, ALL in clumps of 3-6 ornaments each branch. All while Colby is outside putting on our Iceicle lights...thanks sweety.Of course I had to get one of the boy..he is just too handsome not to.

Thanksgiving

Starting off our Thanksgiving day we participated in the 5k turkey trot with our ward and 2nd ward. We of course walked it with our children in a stroller and Braxten strapped to Colby. It was a beautiful morning, very cold but with the great company of Rachel and Haley we were very entertained and they made it more fun. It was a lot longer than I thought and being not only out of shape but have gone Ice skating the night before was not such a good combo but I was proud I finnished even if it was 1 hour and 10 min after starting.
Dinner this year we spent the day with my Dad's side of the family at my aunt Laurie and Uncle Boyd's house. She got out her fine china for the occation...well only for the married adults. Thanks to all her hard work the dinner was wonderful. It was nice to use real plates and goblets for the festivities of the day.Yes those are missionaries in the back...they live at their house, they were on their second dinner of the day. The unmarried were down stairs in the basement with paper products.
oh of course Braxten had to join us at the table...lucky guy.The girls had a picnic on the floor right by us. Of course as is tradition on my Dad's side we cleaned up dinner and enjoyed playing games. Soo much fun!!

4 months and oh so handsome.

Sunday we had a dinner and birthday's for Andy and Trenton. Sue got this really cute picture of Braxten laughing/smiling while Colby had him sitting on him. I LOVE when he is happy!!

He had his 4 month check up last monday and here are his stats!

Weight: 14 pounds and 2 ounces
Hieght: 25 1/4 in
Head: 43.4 cm
He is getting so big he is officially in 3-6 month clothes. Come to find out at the doctors he had an ear infection and I didn't even realize, he was not sleeping so well at night but I thought maybe he was growing turns out he was just uncomfortable with his ear and the cough he has.
I can now officially start on rice cearel...but I think I might wait till he has taken and gotten more used to the medication he is on. I sure love this Kid!!

Girls and music

This is what happens when you turn on some princess music.......

you end up with stuffed animals as princes' and twirling in circles. After a while they ended up running into each other and falling down it was like a sumo fight or something. They have done this a few times now and love it!! They are such girls and I wouldn't have it any other way.

What a Daddy does for his girls.

This is what you would call TRUE LOVE, when Daddy does what his daughter wants just to let her know of his love for her.

LOL!!!!

Celeste wanted Daddy to put on her head bands so he obliged!!

Halloween costumes and Trunk- Or- Treat

Ok so first off Friday afternoon Colby's work had family's come all dressed up for trick-or- treating around the office. I only got a few pictures of the girls in costume but they seemed to be ok with walking around saying trick-or-treat for candy. They loved to talk about their pretty costumes and all the things that went with it.Then Saturday evening we had our annual trunk-or-treat, where you serve candy from your trunk as the children go around in a safe environment trick or treating. It is also very nice for young kids that can't walk too far. This is our cute family sitting in or by our trunk ready for the fun!!I of course had to get pictures of my cute peapod. This is his first Halloween and he did really good, he didn't complain too much about mommy dressing him up. Thanks Charlotte for letting me borrow the cute costume.
That evening my parents invited us to stay and watch a movie with them. SO we accepted and put in "The Haunted Mansion" I think parts of it were a little scary for Charity she was fussing of being scared but when Colby tried closing her eyes she didn't want him too she really wanted to watch it. I guess because the ending was good and happy everything was ok. It was a pretty good movie it was my first time watching it too.

The Beautiful dresses are finnished.

Here are the fairy princess dresses that my Mom made for the girls. (of course myself and my sister helped a little)

Charity had to have BLUE her favorite color! I love how cute her hair is...but the time it takes to do it and the boredness and complaining only makes this worth it once in a GREAT while.
Celeste got purple just my happenstance and she was totally happy with it. She is so laid back and fine with what ever but if I gave her a choice she would have wanted pink. But she does look beautiful in purple.
They look so beautiful and grown up.

I can't believe how big my little girls are getting they are not babies any more!! They love the dresses and I am sure we will be wearing them a lot now.

F.H.E. pumpkins

Monday night for family home evening we decided to do pumpkins for family home evening. My sister got these CUTE faces that I thought were so appropriate for the ages of my children, after my adventure of going to 2 wal-marts and not finding them and then sending Colby to yet another Wal-mart to try to get them he was successfull. They remind me of Mr. Potato head. I love that they are plastic so I can re-use them every year, I will have young kids for a while. We were watching Mica that night and I had invited Sue and Steve to come over for the evening but then I hadn't heard anything until I answered the door shortly after having arrived home from my Moms where I was helping do the girls costumes. Needless to say I was surprised they actually wanted to come and I was embarrassed at how messy my house was, if I would have known before I could have cleaned up better sorry!!
After having songs, prayer, scriptures and a quick lesson we dived into the pumpkins.

Here is Steve and Sue joining us in the pumpkin making FUN!!This is Colby's brother Shawn he is holding Mica and helping with faces for the pumpkins. The girls had so much fun we had to change the faces at least 3 or 4 times. I have lots more picutres of each face but will spare you...needless to say we had FUN and will have fun each year creating our faces for our pumpkins.Charity had a great time changing out the faces and when we did a more scary face she would say " oh no, scary" so I was glad we had the animal ones that were cute for them to do, and not too scary. We had a great F.H.E. yea for Halloween!!

Dresses in process.

We have been working dilligently on the skirts, dresses and bags for the girls for their Halloween costume. Here is my Mom sewing one of the dresses. She mostly put those together thanks Mom!! :) We had Charity try on hers at my Moms and she LOVED it so much she would twist in it, dance, call herself Cinderella and a princess. She didn't want to take it off when my Mom wanted to just iron it. I of course just said oh well we will just take it off and not have her wear it till Friday for the costume cause she might want to wear it ALL the time, and I didn't want it dirty or ruined before then.
